Soham Jinsi

Current: Machine Learning Engineer @ Pivot Robotics (YC W24)

Hey! I'm Soham, a Junior at Duke University studying Math + CS. I currently am a Machine Learning Engineer at Pivot Robotics in San Francisco, where we work on autonomous finishing for manufacturing. I manage our vision stack and infrastructure, deploying models in our cells for tasks like defect segmentation and 6D pose estimation.

On campus, my main involvement is with the Duke Impact Investing Group, where I lead projects for the data team. We work with high-impact startups, leveraging data and machine learning to support their development. I also TA for the math department, teaching Calc I and II.

I have played in chess tournaments for over 10 years, achieving a USCF rating above 2000 and ranking #1 in the state for my age group. I am also an avid speedcuber (Rubik's Cube speedsolving), averaging under 10 seconds on the 3x3. I compete in WCA competitions as often as I can.
